10' COILED OR STRAIGHT LEASH
Straight VS Coiled = Surf VS Cruising
As a general rule, the leash length should compare to the approximate length of the board or longer.
For general paddling, touring and racing, a VESL coiled leash keeps the leash out of the water, reduces drag and wont slow the rider down or get tangled in floating debris or seaweed.
Use a VESL straight leash while surfing a paddle board. This practice can help the rider avoid a collision with the board during and after a fall while surfing waves. The constantly extended length helps keep the board at a safe distance from the rider and away others.
